Oțelul have proven to be a strong home side in the Romanian league. In their last 10 home matches, they’ve lost only twice, and this season they’ve suffered just one home defeat against Botoșani. Even against top teams like CFR Cluj, they impressed with a 4–1 victory, and they’ve also beaten Dinamo București and Universitatea Craiova while drawing with Rapid București.
