Junior did not have the finish they hoped for in the previous Apertura campaign. Although they managed to qualify for the group stage, they fell short in their pursuit of the title a disappointing outcome for a club of their stature.
This new campaign, however, has started on a positive note with two straight victories, suggesting they may be back on track.
On the other hand, Unión Magdalena’s struggles continue. They remain winless in their last four matches, stretching back to the end of last season, which they finished in the lower part of the table.
