Atlético Tembetary
Olimpia haven’t had the best start to the new Clausura campaign.
After two matches, they remain winless, with a draw and a loss. What’s even more concerning is that in their most recent game, they were 2-0 up and still ended up losing an unusual scenario for a club of their stature.
However, this poor run isn’t likely to continue much longer, especially now that they return home to face a struggling Tembetary side.
The visitors are also in bad form, having lost both of their opening matches.
To make matters worse for Tembetary, they’ll be without their first-choice goalkeeper Peralta, who is suspended after receiving a red card in the last match. In addition, experienced and influential midfielder Rodrigo Rojas is sidelined due to injury further weakening an already underperforming squad.
What we say
Olimpia Asunción to Win
Despite the slow start, Olimpia’s core remains intact, with experienced names like Derlis González, Redes, and Leguizamón are still present in this squad. These players should provide the quality needed to secure a much-needed victory.
Head-to-head history also backs Olimpia, who have comfortably beaten Tembetary in their last two meetings with a combined score of 4-0.
With home advantage and superior squad depth, they are well-positioned to bounce back with a win here.
